The Tulips are Blooming

It is time to report on my stitching for the Hand Quilt Along that is hosted by Kathy @Sewing Etc. I didn’t get much time to work on my hand quilting over the holidays. But time spent with family is always better than planning the next step on a project❤️❤️

I did get to add the Tulips to my next appliqué border. They are a bright touch of spring during the winter brown around my house.

I completely finished the appliqué on one tulip and am almost finished with the other. I should have the second one done tonight 🙂 SWEET!!

I am excited to be adding my Rabbits by the next time I report. Yea! With each new addition, I fall more and more in love with this Down the Rabbit Hole Quilt designed by Sarah Fielke. This has been my first successful attempt at needle turn appliqué, and I must say that I am hooked! Sarah’s directions are so clear and I have learned some nifty new techniques:)

All in all it has been a successful few days of Hand quilting. I’m excited to check out how the others are progressing in their stitching goals.

  1. Those look so pretty. This is not a criticism of your earliest applique that I saw on here, but I do see an improvement as you do more. This is a good thing, because it’s looking more polished now, curves are smoother, etc. It was fine when you started, but it’s better now. That’s supposed to be a compliment. LOL
