Sandy the Sea Dragon

I was so honored to be asked by Emma of Emma Craft Projects to test her new pattern for Sandy the Sea Dragon,

Isn’t she so ADORABLE?! Emma is an amazing designer!

When Emma asked me to make my version of Sandy, I knew right away what yarn I would use.

I had these fun goldfish colored yarn skeins left over from my son‘s Afghan I made a few years back. They have been waiting for a cute project like this for quite a while now!

The pattern is written in a large font with plenty of pictures. I enjoyed crocheting all of the fun little pieces.

It only took me a few nights of crochet time to finish my little Sandy. I especially like her multi colored crest and flippy tail fins❤️❤️.

She is just so cute!

Thank you so much Emma for letting me test your new pattern! For any of you who may be interested in stitching up your own Sandy the Sea Dragon, Emma is going to be making the pattern available on Ravelry. You can contact her for the details. I’m sure she would love to hear from you!

I am off to the kitchen now to bake up my Mary Berry Gingersnaps for the Fantastic Bake Along tomorrow. SWEET!

Until then,

  1. Oh my! Tracy, that is just the cutest little cuddly I’ve seen in a long time. Love your color choices! Doesn’t it feel good when you’ve found the perfect project for the left-over supplies?

  2. How cute is she!!! How fiddly is it & do the instructions come in English terms too? I keep looking at the wee creatures people crochet & admiring, but not sure I’d be able to do it. Next week, though, I’m going to make the gingersnaps. Just taken a Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake Slice out of the oven to take to DD’s tomorrow. Have a good weekend & take care.

    1. Hi Susan! — Sandy the Sea Dragon is a bit fiddley, but if you have a firm grasp of crochet techniques you can do it. Otherwise, you may need a bit of help from someone who has worked with stitch markers, changing thread in mid stitch, and a few other techniques.— As far as the Bake Along goes, Yea! I’m so happy that you will be joining us:)!! I look forward to your post next week❤️❤️. Until then, enjoy your cheesecake. That sounds yummy!
