I wish I had more to share with you about my HQAL, but I am happy with the small amount I did get done. I was able to sew the next border around my Down the Rabbit Hole Quilt.
I am pleased with how it looks. The black looks a little heavy to me at the moment, but there are two more rounds to go, so we shall see. The next round finally brings me to my appliquéd rabbits. Yea!!!❤️❤️❤️
I pieced my pattern together, which is really quite large, and laid it out on a fat quarter. It barely fit, but it did. Phew!
I laid the pieces out gently on my background piece and glued them all down. Now for the sewing. I’m excited:)!
These little bunnies are so cute! I really do enjoy stitching the pieces down. It is like magic watching the fabric turn under so neatly as I sew along.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, I wish I had more to show you, but this is as far as I have gotten. I have one set of bunnies glued down, and the ears of one stitched in place. That’s it. Oh well, hopefully I will have all four bunnies done and maybe even the flowers and vines done by next time….a girl can hope, right:)?
Thank you to Kathy @ Sewing Etc. For organizing this Hand Quilt Along. I am excited to see how everyone else is coming on their projects!
Here is the information if you would like to join:
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

I will be posting a bit later today with my minuscule progress on my MYSTERY QAL as well. Let’s just say it has been a very busy January:)! Isn’t it supposed to slow down after Christmas? Life is still so very SWEET though❤️.
Until next time,
Gorgeous, Tracy!!!

Those bunnies are really gorgeous! I do like the black, and while it is strong, it also makes the bright colours sparkle even more, so I’m glad it’s there.

Thank you Kate! I appreciate the second opinion on the black. I do think it will calm down after the next colorful round. We’ll see😊

I agree with Kate–the black is perfect because it lets the other colors really glow. I love the bright lining of the bunny ears!

I think this round will balance the black very nicely with the light border. I so ♥️ the bunny ears!! They look like sable Rex rabbits, rich and soft. 😄

Oh those bunnies are so sweet! Did you use scissors to cut the shapes out? it must be quite fiddly, but it looks amazing! ❤

Hi Emma! Yes, I used scissors. The rabbits have been the hardest so far. They are definitely fiddly!
