Good Sunday to you! I do not normally post blogs on Sunday, but somehow the 28th landed on a Sunday and it is time to update my fellow MQAL quilters with my MYSTERY progress.
Since it is a Sunday, I thought I might share something I am grateful for with each step along the way.
I am grateful for talented people who inspire me❤️
I have been going back and forth on what I was going to make with this fun Fluffer Nutter Fabric. I finally decided that it should be something easy enough to finish in a few months while not working on it every day.
I went to my Pinterest boards and looked at my Quick and Easy Quilt Board. I found a very fun looking quilt call Purse Strings by My Quilt Infatuation. I knew it was the perfect project for my MYSTERY quilt!
I am very Grateful for beautiful fabric❤️
I subscribe to a monthly fat quarter fabric club from The Fat Quarter Shop. Each month they send me a set of lovely fabrics that make me smile as I open the package😊.
This set of fabrics is called Love Story and I am in love with it! I think it goes so well with my Fluffer Nutter Fabric, don’t you?
I am grateful for modern cutting tools❤️
Back in my mother’s time, which really wasn’t that long ago, she would have to cut every square or small shape out with scissors . She would cut shapes from cardboard and then trace around them. She would spend evenings cutting each shape to perfection and try to keep them separate and organized.
Oh how grateful I am that I don’t have to do that. Really, in just a matter of minutes I was able to cut my fabrics out for my first block.
I am grateful for my wonderful Sewing machine❤️
I have several sewing machines, but my go to – favorite piecing machine is my Juki 2010Q It is super fast and mega strong.
It only sews a straight stitch , but wow! It sews a beautiful stitch😊
I am a waste not, want not type of girl so those half-square triangles on the bottom right are the extras that I cut from the stitch and flip corners. I don’t know what I am going to do with them, but I’m sure I will figure something out in the end:)
I am grateful for my family. They are the very best pieces of my life❤️
These pieces are just like my family. We are colorful and happy. We work together and support one another in all we do.
And the finished product is beautiful!
I will be making 20 of these. They go together so quickly but look like they take hours to make:)
I am grateful for my online friends❤️
I have had so much fun working with Cindy @ in a Stitch Quilting. She is a talented quilter. I have enjoyed working with her on this QAL. I am also grateful for all of these fine quilters who are joining along in this MYSTERY QAL. I’m so excited to see what MYSTERIES they are sewing up in their sewing rooms:)

Hi Tracy,
No need to email (actually Cindy warned me about an update yesterday). I’ll have something for next time for sure – at least more than I shared in today’s post with just some strips cut. ~smile~ Roseanne

I really, truly LOVE that dark blue floral in the centre of the blocks. It’s going to be such a pretty finished result. I’m grateful you took the time to show us what you’re working on!
