Be-Attitudes Quilt – Be Warm Block

I am so excited to have finished the next block of my Be-Attitudes Quilt. I don’t know if “Being Warm” is a real Be- attitude or not, but I do think that warm and fuzzy thoughts are a lot better than cold and prickly ones. So yes, this week’s “Be Warm” Block is a definite go for me😊

Isn’t it so cute?! I love his nose and rosey checks above the scarf. 🙂

Speaking of his scarf, I had a hard time deciding on the fabric choice. At first I thought there was too much red and so I auditioned a yellow motif.

My friends and I all agreed to stay with the red. That yellow just didn’t pop enough. Color is funny that way. Contrast, contract, contrast is key.

Can you spot some of my Mystery Quilt Along fabric peeking through?

Hee hee hee! I feel so sneaky:). It has been fun watching the others in this MQAL also adding their fabric in obvious or not so obvious places as well. It is like an I spy!

This block also has a bit of embroidery on it. The snowflakes were quick to stitch up with large stitches and embroidery floss.

I think they really add to the finished block. I always like a little more texture and finishing touches on a quilt.

I will be adding a button for the knot of his scarf and small beads to the tips of the snowflakes, but they will have wait until after the quilt is quilted. I don’t want any broken needles while quilting!

I really like how this quilt is coming along. I think my first two blocks look so SWEET next to each other.

It’s going to be a beauty! I have a friend who is a teacher and would like to display this in her classroom. I can’t think of a better future for this quilt:)❤️❤️

Thank you so much for dropping by today. It is a SWEET day for sure!

  1. Tracy, every post you write is an inspiration – now I feel the urge to sit down and quilt too. But I really have to work on something different this week …. Your quilt will look so gorgeous – can’t wait to see what other blogs you are going to create. And I agree, the red scarf fits so much better than the yellow 🙂
