The Witches Quilting Lessons!

Do you ever feel like you have bitten off a bit more than you can chew? I have a list of should’ves, but they just keep getting pushed back.

I should’ve organized the Fantastic Bake Along, I should’ve finished my Delilah and Down the Rabbit Hole Quilt, and I should’ve gotten more done on my Salem Quilt Guild Hand Quilt Along.

This little bag is all I have managed to sew in three weeks. I mean really the ONLY sewing I have gotten done! No piecing, and no Quilting. Just this one little embroidered bag. I’m seriously going through withdrawals!

Why am I so behind? Two reasons — One, I have started a new chapter in my life. I am now a REALTOR! I am spending most of my day learning the skills to help people with their dreams of home ownership. Yea!! I love working with people and helping to make them smile:)

And two, most of my evenings are spent organizing a 24th of July Pageant which celebrates the Pioneers of the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints or Mormons. The production will be next Saturday to a football stadium of more than 5000 people!

Sooo…. yes, I am happy with any progress at all on my HQAL I am happy that I was able to get the last panel colored and a small bit embroidered. These witches are really learning a lot in their class!

I need to learn that un-sewing spell! What is it again? Bibbity-Bobbity….

Maybe I just need a magic wand to get everything done! Where do they sell those things any way?

This is a fun sew along:). If your interested in joining along, here is how:

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

  3. Congrats on the start of a new venture; very exciting and well worth putting aside the needle for the book learning right now. The Pageant sounds wonderful, fun and inspiring too. I know it will be a success with you at the helm. It would be fun to see some pictures of the Pageant too. I hope you will post some ~ Sharon

  5. Hi Tracy! Big congrats to you – how exciting, and from the little I know of you, I think you will be a fabulous realtor. You are a real people person. I’m sorry you didn’t have a productive couple of weeks – but not really too sorry. This is the time of year to goof and do other important things! Good luck with the pageant – that sounds HUGE and very hard to organize all of that. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Thank you Roseanne! The people are the very best part of a home❤️❤️. Things are going to get creative again, I’m sure I will steal a moment or two here and there. It just keeps people like you and me sane, right? It will definitely be better after the pageant this Saturday:). Thank you so much for your always happy and uplifting remarks:)❤️❤️

  6. You are so funny, Tracy! I’m excited that you passed your stuff and are now official. If I lived in Arizona, I’d have to move over there just so you could find a house for me! Times and Seasons, girl. Hope your production goes really well. That’s something I miss here. No one even notices when the 24th comes! Last year, I had a stake singles Pioneer Day picnic and 17 people came. Better than 0, but still.
