Masks & More Masks

It seems that everyone is trying to help our healthcare providers and neighbors by using their sewing skills to donate face masks to help with this darned Corona Virus scare. I certainly want to do what I can to help those in need as well.

The ladies of my church have a goal to make 800 face masks for our area hospital. They sent out a pattern and asked us to help. I gathered a few scraps in my sewing room and started sewing.

Although this pattern is a bit small, I like how it is a bit more fitted than most. It has top stitching and a lining.

I was able to chain sew these colorful masks and had 21 done in an evening of sewing. SWEET!!

It’s been a great day. I look forward to Good Friday tomorrow. The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints is asking us, and any who would like to join along , to fast and pray for relief from the Corona Virus. We are to pray for relief from physical harm, a timely vaccine, and economic recovery.

With God’s help, we can be inspired as to what to do to end this terrible pandemic.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and happy:)

  1. You’ll certainly put a smile on any face wearing one of those! Lovely and bright and cheerful, and I find that design my preferred style of mask because it fits fairly snugly, which is good.

  2. Those look great. I’ve only just begun making masks and I’m still working through the process. Can’t wait to get into a groove with them. 🙂

  3. That is a great mask pattern and your masks are wonderful. It is amazing to see communities pulling together. I have been making masks too (a different pattern) for friends and friends of friends, for those who don’t sew, it’s been keeping me busy. Stay safe and well 🙂
