It is July already?! You would think with all of the quarantine, life would just drag on and on, Nope- when you are a quilter /sewer, time always flies by, I really don’t even need a fabric store because I could sew from my scraps for at least a year or two! Lol:!
And just look at what my scraps have been up to!—
I scrounged through the scrap bin and used some scraps from my learn to Quilt series called Pins and Stripes. They were perfect for Desert Suz’s Hero F2F. I am in love with the brilliant reds❤️
And next I pulled out the hot pink reds and blues for Monike.
These pinks do tend to push to the red side, But after the bright deep reds for Sue these reds seemed quite pink. I think they match the color swatches on top that Monike gave as the inspiration, don’t you?
It has been sew much fun sewing these blocks! It’s time to sort through my blues and yellows for next month!
Kate and Gun Organize this scrap happy event each month. They are so wonderful!!

Can I ask, where you found the pattern for that 3rd block you make? The one with bands and cut at an angle and repieced with two strips. I quite fancy giving that a go.

Hi Claire! Isn’t that a fun one? I’m so glad you like it! I saw something similar somewhere sometime ago that inspired me. I decided to design it myself:). I am going to be making it again here today or tomorrow and will make a quick tutorial for you:)😊❤️

Your blocks always make me smile. They are so fun and uplifting. Totally agree, July already? I haven’t felt quarantined at all. I need more hours added to the day and days to the year. Mid week hello and have a wonderful rest of your week 🙂

Thank you Sharon! I only wish we could pack up and all sew at a retreat together, but online sewing will have to do. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week too!❤️❤️
