I love being able to check off Christmas list presents. Don’t you? I am especially happy to check off another beautiful Grinda Shawl. I used a Scheepjes Whirl yarn in the most beautiful shades of cream and blue.
It is always easier to crochet or sew something the second time around. The language is clearer and the stitches are familiar.
When my dear husband asked me to make his mother a shawl along with the shawl for my mother, I knew that it would be no problem at all. In fact, I welcomed the opportunity to see this shawl made up in a different color scheme.
I absolutely LOVE the the subtle gradients from cream to royal blue. It looks so beachy.
Once again, I fell in love with the pretty lace edging. I am definitely going to keep this little pattern in my arsenal of edge stitches:)
And I just know that you have been anxiously awaiting seeing both of these gorgeous shawls together. Well, wait no longer. Here they are–
Aren’t they so pretty? They can only be prettier by adding the dear SWEET faces of the two mothers I love the most in the whole world!❤️❤️. It is going to be a very Merry Christmas this year!

I was so excited to see the Grinda shawl heading in my in box, they are bot gorgeous and your ‘mom’s’ are going to be so thrilled to receive them. Get the camera ready for the reveal too!

Hi Tracy! OMG! These two shawls are just SOOOOOOO beautiful. I can just picture those two women, who are so important in your life, smiling at you and being wrapped in your love. These are gorgeous – you chose lovely colours.
I started one of these for my daughter as a Christmas present but I’m having trouble getting used to the finer yarn and smaller hook after making more chunky items. Progress is slow but there’s always her birthday in February so all is not
lost if I don’t get it done in time to go under the tree.

Hello! I agree with the finer weight of thread. There is a tighter grip needed for sure. Once you get the hang of it, the shawl really stitches up quite quickly—-but birthdays need nice gifts too!😊❤️❤️
