Hello! Hello! And good Monday morning to you:). My good friend is going on a cruise to Alaska next week. I want to give her a little treat to wish her a happy trip. Do you remember the scarf I won from Tina @Kristabella’s Hodgepodge a few weeks back? You can read about it here.
I love mine so much that I thought my friend would like one too❤️. I looked through my yarn stash and found a soft Baby Bee yarn skein in the color “Grape Jelly”. SWEET!
I only needed the one skein to make this beautiful version of my Oh So Lucky Scarf. I made a 7 square Granny scarf that was the perfect length:)
Each of the squares needed 8 rounds to make an approximate 8″ square. Because Baby thread is so small, I had to use a small needle as well. My bamboo needles don’t have sizes on them. I would guess mine was about an E needle.
Granny squares are so fast and easy to make. It didn’t take me long to stitch up a cute scarf. I enjoyed watching “Anne with an E” as I stitched away:). What a fun afternoon!
I rolled it up into a pretty “grape jelly” roll. And added a blue bow.
Isn’t it cute? I ran it over to my friend before she left. She LOVED it! (I knew she would). 😊
I have put together a pattern with the fun picot edging if you are interested in making a cute scarf for yourself or someone you love.
Here it is–
