I always love seeing how everyone is progressing in their hand quilting and sewing projects every three weeks. I am amazed with all of the beautiful quilts that everyone is working on.
My progress has been very slow because life happens and other things reach the top of list, so you get it, quilting and sewing moves further down. It’s all good.
I still had a few moments to sew my rabbits down and add a few, but only a few flowers.
My box of fabric is way more messy than I like, but I am grateful for the box to keep everything together. My rushed cutting and circle making wasn’t all that neat and tidy either.
Oh well, I am happy I was able the circle flowers done at all! They look bright and happy on my Rabbit border
I started sewing the flowers down last night, but stopped after the bottom ones because I’m not sure I like the vine placement.
I think I will clean and organize my surroundings first and then maybe my head will clear a bit. That will definitely help with the creative process:).
I guess there has been just too much on my plate for the past week or so, but it’s all good. There is no rush, despite what these racing rabbits may say.! I will be happy taking it slow like the tortoise instead of the hare:) lol!
I hope you all are having a wonderful, creative, and un-cluttered day!
If any of you would like to join along in this Hand Quilt Along, here is how:
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.
Kathy, Lori, Margaret, Kerry, Emma, Tracy, Deb, Connie, Deborah, Susan, Jessisca, Sherry, Nanette, Sassy, Edith, Sharon and Bella.
It looks like it’s coming along great. I love this design and seeing what everyone has done with it as far as colour schemes etc.

I love the whole feel of your design. It is going to be spectacular when finished. With genealogy research I am often taking a turn ‘down the rabbit hole’ and would love to have your quilt to wrap my self in. I love your color palette and quilt name!

My mother does a lot of genealogy research as well! It seems to be a wonderful hole to jump down. She even taught classes in SLC😊

Looks great, my rabbits didn’t jump high enough to fit a flower underneath! I love the fabrics you’ve used for your flowers 🙂

I know what you mean! I’m worried about the second panel… I may have to make the flowers a bit smaller:)

Oh! One of your rabbits has an eye, but it looks like the others don’t. Is that on purpose? Because I really like him with an eye 🙂 Your bunnies are really lovely, slender but athletic, and they’re really racing all out. I love them! Glad to see you’re using Sarah’s ‘alfoil and card template’ version of making circles – it’s such a revelation, and it works beautifully for all sorts of shapes.

You are very keen eyed Kate! I just haven’t gotten to the other eyes yet, but they will be there by the next time I post:). That foil technique is wonderful! I’m glad you recognized it:)❤️

Such a fun quilt! Rabbits may want to go fast, but hand sewing goes more slowly…besides, we know who won that race!

You should be taking a deep breath, slowing down, and enjoying the process–I think that’s the plan, right? It’s all going to get done, in its own time! I really like the bright fabrics that line the bunny ears!

Thank you Kerry! Very wise advice. How fitting for the Down the Rabbit Hole Quilt —— I give my self very good advice, but I very seldom follow it ….. Lol!
