It’s a Sunny Day!

I am absolutely loving the warmer weather this spring. The flowers have been blooming and the skies are clear and bright. I am also loving my Sunny Day Mandala!

I have almost completely finished the actual mandala section with just a round or two before I start squaring it up to get ready for borders.

I love the look and feel of all the popcorn stitches. The design is somewhat hypnotic .

My mandala now measures about 30” across, but will be much larger in the end. I need to square the circle up with corners, make 20 small mandala squares for a first border and then add a beautiful final border to finish it up,

I have quite a bit more to do, but I really am enjoying my evenings stitching on my mandala. If any of you would like to make a Sunny Mandala Blanket of your own, you can find the pattern here.
