I absolutely LOVE this apple cobbler! It is so easy to make yet it tastes like you have worked hours on it:). Add a scoop of ice cream, and you are in dessert heaven….Mmmm! Because it is easy to double, or even triple the recipe, it is my go to dessert recipe when I need to feed a crowd. In fact, I made three extra large pans and fed almost 100 youth earlier this week! They loved it:)!
I have taken pans of this to family reunions, community or ward pot lucks, and even graduation parties. It is quick, it is easy, and it is always, always a hit — SWEET Magic!!
Magic Apple Cobbler
Recipe by Tracy @Its T-Sweets Day!
Ingredients:
- 1c sugar
- 1c flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4c milk
- 1/2c butter cut in cubes
- 3c apple pie filling
Topping:
- 1c sugar
- 1Tbs cinnamon
Directions:
Heat oven to 350*. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, and milk together in a mixing bowl. Place cubed butter in a 9×13″ pan and heat in warmed oven to melt butter. Remove melted butter from the oven, leave the butter in the pan and pour the batter all around. DO NOT STIR! Spoon the apples around evenly. Do not stir! Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping evenly over the top. Bake for 30-40min until golden on top.
There you go:). So so easy and beyond belief good!
I know that most of you will be making pies this next week, but maybe this will come in handy for your holiday parties next month. I definitely will be sharing a few more recipes for Thanksgiving. I really have the BEST Ginger Glazed Turkey recipe ever. I’m a foodie, remember?!
Thanks for stopping by!

Looks yummy. Just one question? You say Remove melted butter and pour the batter all around. But what do you do with the butter, do you add it to the batter?

Hi Debbierose! I’m sorry, it should say “remove melted butter from the oven’. I’m glad you brought this to my attention. I will fix it right now. Thank you!!

That looks delicious! Do you make your own apple pie filling or do you buy it already made?

Hi Emma! I do both. Usually I make mine, but for this particular batch, I used store bought because of the amount I had to make. Both taste great!

We are definitely going to try this one at our house, Tracy. I love apples and who can resist cobbler? Since we use only honey as a sweetener in our house, I’ll have to make some adjustments, but I’m sure it will still be yumm-i-liscious.

I’d be glad to. I’m thinking I’ll need this as a recovery food after another craft show this weekend, so that might be sooner rather than later!! lol
