HQAL Update

Hi All! It has been three weeks since my last update on my Quatro color quilt. Last time I was proud to share 11 finished blocks

This time I was only able to finish three. Yep. That’s it.

I only worked on these today while listening to my church’s General Conference. I am a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.

I enjoy having handwork to do while I listen to uplifting music and nspirational words from beloved church leaders.

I sat with my little box filled with all of my needed supplies ready to just grab a square and sew. English Paper Piecing is a perfect sit and sew project.

Even though I only finished three blocks, I really do like each one. I like the crisp edges and the bright colors:)

I have enjoyed stitching while listening to this wonderful conference. One of my favorite quotes was by Elder Neil L. Anderson talking about testimony —

And I do. I know I am a Child of God. I know He loves me and I love Him. I know he has blessed me so abundantly. I know that I am a part of something grand. I know it and I know God knows it. I can not deny it.

My heart is filled with such joy and love today. I hope you know how much all of you, my online friends, mean to me. Thank you for your kind comments and the sharing of your talents on your blogs. You inspire me and lift me.

I wish you all a beautiful and SWEET Sabbath Day!

This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another.  If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

  1. What a beautiful post. No apologies for only 3 blocks…that is a good amount of work during these weird times. I am interested in joining in the hand sewing group, so I will send Kathy an email. Stay safe and God bless.

  2. Thank you for sharing. Daughter and I worked on a long-standing charitable project of hers during conference. We made real progress, and it helps us stay awake. I don’t normally sit still for such long periods of time.

  4. Great blocks! I have enjoyed a little EPP the last couple of weeks. I was trying to look back to where you described what kind of interfacing you were using. It is heavyweight, non fusible?
