combine nuts, flour, and butter

press the crust in the pie pan

bake the crust until dry to the touch and slightly golden

Make the cream, stir, stir, and stir. It will combine. Just keep on stirring!

use firm, almost green bananas

layer the crust with sliced bananas

pour the cream over the bananas. cover and cool

whip the cream and cover softly over pie.

Cut a piece and enjoy!!! You’re welcome:)

Directions:   For crust, combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until crumbly.  Press into a large pie pan.  Bake at 350* for 15-20min or until dry to the touch and lightly golden.

Make cream filling–  In a small bowl add sugar cornstarch, and eggs to 1/4c of milk.  Stir to combine.  In a med saucepan, stirring constantly, heat the 2cups of milk with the butter.  When the butter is melted, stir in the egg mixture. Keep stirring until it thickens like a soft pudding.  Take off the heat and add vanilla.  Keep stirring until smooth.  Slice bananas evenly in pie crust.  Pour cream over the bananas into the crust.  Cover with plastic wrap and cool.

Make whipped cream before serving-   Pour cream into mixing bowl.  Whip on high until peaks form.  Add sugar and vanilla and whip until well mixed.   Place on top of warm or cool pie.

There you have it.  Mmmmmmm!!!  SWEET BOMB-bana goodness!!

Happy Birthday!

  1. This was my first husband’s favorite pie, and very sad to say, for some reason, I didn’t make it for him until we had been married ten years; just one year before he passed away. I think I’ll make it for my children, in honor of their dad, just because ….
