October is here and my witches are not going to have their Halloween party this year. I was really hoping to have this quilt finished, but it will have to be finished by next Halloween. Oh well, good things are worth waiting for:)
The last time I posted, I had only been able to put a few stitches on one little jack-o-lantern in three weeks.
Well, I’m happy to report that I have been able to finish the quilts, two witches, the pumpkin patch and a bit of the sewing basket. Yea!
I love the spider web on this witch”s hat. That little spider looks like a beautiful decoration or creepy Pom Pom which is just right for any fashionable witch!
The pumpkin patch was a breeze to embroider.
Using all one color really made it fly by quickly. But my favorite item to stitch up was the pin cushion.
Isn’t it cute?! I have used those yellow headed pins for years. I bet you have too:)
Here is what my complete panel looks like. I’m sorry it is a bit blurry, but you get the idea.
I am more than half way done. I am hoping I will be able to finish the sewing box and the next witch by the next time we post our progress here.
I am sure I can do it:). I’m thankful to Kathy @ Sewing Etc, for organizing this sew along. It really keeps me motivated. We would love to have you join us. Here is how:
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

Until next time!
It’s really beautiful, and will definitely be worth the wait. I’ve really enjoyed watching your progress. I love love love the pumpkin patch 🎃

Great work. I do like these panels. I saw the entire bunch of them done in Ohio in one of the shops, and it is stunning. Whether you do one, a quilt-full or all of them, it’s a great project! That spider is just too wonderful! I do have bunches of those yellow-headed pins, but mostly, they pin blocks up on the wall now. =)

I’m back from my Fast Suz! ❤️. Thank you for the great comment. Isn’t it funny how those yellow headed pins retire? I still have them, but I use clips much more now:)

I didn’t fast from blogging. I don’t consider it social media. I consider it my date book! LOL Without it, I have no idea where my time goes. Have you seen the journaling Book of Mormon? Mine came today, and I’m excited to have it for this reading.

Is it the one online at Deseret book?

Yes, it’s the one from Deseret. I just got the gray paperback, but the floral hardback is pretty! And more expensive. =)

I love it! I didn’t know it was a quilting technique, or isn’t it? But I really want to try it now. Would love to see more progress pictures^^.

I’m so glad you love it! Thank you :). This is embroidery that will be part of a larger, quilted wall hanging. It is the hand work part of my quilt. 😊
