I can’t believe it, but I really am almost done with this last panel for my Crab Apple Hill Studios Salem Quilt Guild! Last time I posted about this, I had three witches and many baskets to stitch up.
But these past three weeks have been very productive.
My cute husband and I binged The Haunting of Hillhouse on Netflix using our handy VidAngel app. Talk about a fun spooky story!! Just look at all of the stitching I was able to do while I was scared. It was way better than covering my eyes with my hands! —
I finished this surprised little purpled hair witch. I added a contrasting back gusset for a bit more added color to the panel.
I also finished this happy and shocked off her feet witch. I bet that spell tickled her nose!
I think my favorite stitching was the basket of books and quilts. I always love a good shopping day:)
Here is my whole classroom panel. It is almost done.
I only have the stitching spells board and the teacher left. I am sure I can get this done before Halloween. But the setting is another story.
I may wait to do the setting until next October…. well, we will see:).
I hope you are having a simply SWEET day! I am so grateful you spent some of your day with me. If you are enjoying reading about my quilting progress, please feel free to leave me comment. I always love to make new creative friends like yourself❤️

Thank you so much! I think this may just have to be a fall quilt because I am on a “finish it and get it out of my sewing room” mode. I don’t think I want it hanging around that long either! Lol😊❤️

Almost there. If I could find my wand, I’d whip up a spell to allow you to finish for Halloween!

I love this soooo much!!! I was at a quilt show a couple of weeks ago and these patterns were there. Well, I just had to have them! I have never colored fabric before so this will be a new one for me. Great progress!

Oh!! I’m sew excited for you Connie!! My one suggestion is to trace the patterns onto all three of your patterns and color them all at the same time. I did one panel in 2016, finished it and then didn’t have the energy or the enthusiasm to get the others on the fabric. It took this HQAL to light the fire again. I can’t wait to see yours getup and going:)❤️

Finished or not for Halloween it is spooktacular! This is a true holiday treasure! Great job. I am doing some embroidery too and the change of color threads sure does slow the process time down ~ Sharon

Thank you sew much Sharon! The thread changes are definitely the tricky part. I have a pin cushion by my bed filled with needles already threaded in a rainbow of colors. Good luck with your embroidery, I’m excited to see it:)

These pictures are wonderful. I started mine in 2019 and took a class from someone who was a a great teacher but only worked on getting the first two steps completed. I’m sure she talked about embroidery but I don’t remember any of it. These pictures I just when I need to get the stitching done. Thanks so much.

These are looking fantastic !! Have you seen on Facebook that some people are appliquing this? I’m sticking to embroidery – whenever I get to it 🙂

Hi Edi! Yes, I did see that. While I do think the appliqué looks lovely, I really like the shading of the color and the floss. Each piece reflects the quilter and they are all good❤️❤️
