Good morning all! I’m a day late in posting my progress, but I am very happy with the progress I have made on my Simple Folk Quilt over the past few weeks. It is so nice when a few more blocks can join the “Finshed” block stack:)
I was able to finish my little rabbit and the happy sun. Aren’t they cute?!
It always amazes me how the marked needle turn goes from this-
To this-
Now I have Mr Peacock all cut and under the needle.
I was lucky enough to go up to the mountains and put a few stitches in. The view was relaxing and beautiful.
I was also able to cut and prepare Mr. Unicorn.
Whew! This is a lot of work! Just when I think I am surely at the end, I go back to my pattern and realize that I still have quite a bit to go. I still have two more animal border blocks and 12 more wreath blocks. — Yep, I still have a ways to go.
Oh well, I enjoy the process. It relaxes me to sew in the evenings. It is nice to have a creative outlet to enjoy while watching a favorite show. What show do I watch? – it varies, but lately it has been “The Amazing Race”. There are 30 seasons and we want to watch them all. Each episode is so fun!
Thank you so much for dropping by today. I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day!
This Hand Quilt Along is an opportunity for hand quilters and piecers to share and motivate one another. We post every three weeks, to show our progress and encourage one another. If you have a hand quilting project and would like to join our group contact Kathy at the link below.

Oh that is really coming along. I think I have a fat quarter of you background for the peacock!

Your quilt here is so Happy!! I especially liked seeing your before photos with the stitching lines before turning under. Thank you. I found this very encouraging as to the pointed pieces, something that looks complex. Happy stitching!

Hi Terre! I am so glad you stopped by today! Needle turn is so much easier than I ever thought it would be. I will do a blog post on pointed point turning in the near future. It really isn’t hard at all :). Have a great day!!😊😊

Somehow I missed this update. It is looking wonderful – a rival for your Rabbit Hole?

Hi Suz! I don’t think anything will come close to Down the Rabbit hole, but this one is by the same designer. I still have quite a bit to go. Maybe by the end of the year/)?
