It’s a Scrap Happy, Hand quilting day! I am happy to report that I have been English paper piecing again. I have sewed my tiny scrap fabrics into 11 Quatro color stars.

I stitch in the evenings and even bought a small press board and travel iron for my bedroom. I think Jeff Foxworthy might say I might be a Red Neck if….. lol!

I feel like I have finished quite a few star units, but I am really just a little more than half way finished with the stars. I have the back ground to go as well.

I think I am going to be working on this for quite sometime. Maybe I should hire a new helper. This one is a 10 on the SWEETNESS scale, but he likes to jump on the fabric more than sew it together:)❤️❤️

It has been a great few weeks of stitching. I wonder what the other stitchers are up to? If you have a bit of time, you may want to go check them out.

You sure do have some gorgeous scraps. What a pity it would have been if you hadn’t started to use them! I think every hand stitcher should have a super-cute helper. Mine wears black fur and has a pointy nose, but yours is also a gorgeous boy!

I want a super cute helper 🙂 Lots of great scraps turning into beautiful stars! You have quite a stockpile of them so far. Love the idea of a travel iron too – I never thought of that. May be a new online purchase 🙂

Adorable helper there Tracy! You are generating some beautiful stars there. These hand quilting projects are quite long term aren’t they?

Hi Kathy! Yes hand quilting takes so much more time, but that is what I enjoy most about them. A lingering project becomes a good relaxing friend❤️

What a cute little helper! I can see how getting much done with him around would be a challenge. I love all the color in your stars and isn’t it fun to use up your scraps. I really enjoy sifting through my scraps to choose the right ones for a project.

Good morning Connie! My helper is truly a bright spot in my day❤️❤️. I agree with the fun of looking through bits and pieces for a new purpose. I have plenty to choose from!

I currently am working on a queen-size EPP quilt using 2″ diamonds and hexagons. I think I have been working on it for almost 3 years, but I think I just need to do 4 more rows. Of course I have also made other quilts by machine during those 3 years, but EPP is wonderful to work on while traveling and while watching tv in the evening. And if there is nothing on tv to watch, my husband will read to me while I stitch. I really like your project, and am wondering how you are going to join them.

This one could end up rivaling Delilah for color and out-and-out scrappy goodness. 😀
