My mom thinks I am magic and can do anything. Isn’t that what mothers are supposed to think? She called me yesterday and said, “Tracy, we are feeding the senior missionaries this next Monday. Would you happen to have time to make me a green table runner?”
Lol! — No mom, I really don’t have time, but for you, I will make time.❤️❤️
I have a wonderful book of patterns for table decorations called “Table Please” by Art to Heart. I believe the designer is Nancy Halvorsen.

I scrounged through my green stash scraps and started cutting and sewing. The background was just one big disappering 9 patch of 9” squares.
I sewed the nine squares together and then I cut the nine patch in 1/4s and sewed three of them back together in a row. That’s it! Background done!
Next was a very easy, but super cute appliqué. The pattern was in the book. ADORABLE!

I used a super easy press and peel appliqué method to anchor my clovers down and then did a small blanket stitch around them.

All in all my mom was right. I did have time because I was able to make this festive clover runner in an evening. I bet you could too!!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Please feel to comment or follow along. I am always happy to hear from you!

I am linking to Main Crush Monday at Cooking Up Quilts. It’s always fun to see what others are cooking up in their sewing room!
You did good !!!!

Oh so creative and adorable. It looks great. I was married on St Patricks day and always enjoyed celebrating in true Irish fashion, all though not a hint of Irish in me 🙂

Hi, Tracy! You always come up with the cutest things! Your mom will love this little runner.
I am finally starting my Salem Witches project. You know how that is. You will be pleased to know that I have taken your advice and am tracing all 3 panels right up front. I will get the last one traced today. Also, I looked more closely at the coloring on the pattern and it seems to be much less vibrant than yours! How did you know what to change or did you just throw caution to the wind and go for it? I just LOVE yours!
Have a great day! Eileen

Hi Eileen! Oooohh! Imso excited for your Salem Quilt guild adventure. You are going to make friends with all of those cute little witches! Yes, my witches are darker. I definitely threw caution to the wind and just. colored and shaded to my own liking. I didn’t follow her color schemes either. You may definitely use mine as inspiration, but I’m sure as you get going, you will want to choose your own witchy wardrobe. Lol! Please please keep me posted on your progress. I will enjoy hearing about the whole process all over again😊❤️

Hi, Tracy! As always, thank you for the quick response and all your encouragement! I will definitely keep you posted on my progress. I’m not a blogger and don’t post photos on public forums—just an old-fashioned gal here. I am, however, grateful to those of you who do post photos of their work. You are quite an inspiration to me and to everyone who follows your adventures. Thanks again, Eileen
