I have reached that spot in a project when it has lost its sparkle. It certainly isn’t hard, but it is repetitive. I love the colors and the English Paper Pieceing technique, but I am ready for a change and a creative boost.
Here is this months progress…

I got four more flowers done, but hold on… this little guy looks like he was a little bit tasty as well!

I wonder who the culprit could be?—. I doubt that it was my husband, he usually chooses things with nuts. How about my grandchildren? No, they usually like things that are a little bit sweeter. I bet it was this guy!

Yep! It was definitely him! I think he likes glue,. Who knew? Oh well, I can fix that in no time and he is just way too cute to get angry with.
Now it is time to put this project in a box and forget about it for a while. It will be sparkly new and exciting again in a few months or …years lol!

I already feel lighter just getting all of the pieces off of my night stand and cutting table. They are all neatly in a box that is neatly put away in my sewing room. Yea!!

I will get back to this project again. But for now, I am feeling the need to continue my appliqué on my Simple Folk quilt. I hope all of my piecing is done by next check in day and that I am actually stitching the leaves and circles. Fingers crossed!!🤞
Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you have a moment, you may want to check out what the other hand quilters are stitching up.
Kathy, Margaret, Tracy, Deb, Susan, Nanette, Edith, Sharon, Karrin, Gretchen, Kathi, Bella, Daisy, Connie, Monica and Sherrie
Have a wonderful day!!

Those are beautiful, Tracy! I certainly understand the need to put something away for awhile, I’ve done that myself!

Hi Kathy! I’m glad to know we all reach that wall. My sewing room is filled with boxes that are waiting to be opened and become new again. :)❤️❤️

That’s a lot of English paper piecing going on and those flowers look so real and delicious, I can see why that cutie would want to take a bite 🙂 Love that button nose and it wasn’t me Mom eyes 🙂

This sounds a familiar story – I’ve only recently got out my paper pieced hexagons again and it was – ahem – after years rather than months. 🙄 Still, no point pushing on with something you’re not enjoying is there?
Love the pup and it was only a little nibble.

Hi Lynn! I’m glad I’m not alone in boxing and waiting. I think we have dreams of just months, but I have a few years of waiting boxes as well. That’s ok. I like the sparkle of a project It will get there again;) ❤️❤️

Thank you!! Isn’t that little bite the cutest thing? Now if he had decided to make a meal of them all, I might not have thought it so cute, but that little nibble was just a smile maker:). Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!😊

they’re all lovely Tracey. Especially love the purple, orange & pink combination. And oops on the nibble! Our dog took a shine to one of my crocheted monsters and nibbled an antennae which I never got round to fixing.

Your puppy is soo cute!! We have a cat who loves both glue and paper! Definitely have to keep my EPP away from her. I just did that very thing. My Grandmother’s Flower Garden had been feeling like a huge “MUST DO” instead of something fun. I had set her aside for a bit, but just now pulled her out yesterday and she’s brand new all over again. Your flowers are so vibrant and pretty, when you pull it out again, I’m sure it will feel amazing!

Hi Connie! Oh! I’m so glad to hear that your Grandmas Flower garden is
Fresh and new again:). It is amazing what a bit of time will do. —We seem to be living parallel lives, but your quilt eating culprit is a cat! Lol! 😊❤️❤️❤️

Lovely blocks, but we all hit that wall sometimes and a rest from it usually works. Very cute pup too 🙂

I have been worried about my projects lying on my work table with a very tall dog investigating them, but so far he’s confined his activities to emptying my bin all over the floor and ‘killing’ the contents! Pretty flowers, I shall look forward to seeing it again when the inspiration strikes!

Wise choice — there’s no point on stitching on something that is no longer giving you pleasure. And it is also nice to have a project to return to on a rainy day

Definitely to cute a fella to get mad at!😊 no sense in working on a sewing project until you hate! A breather will make you appreciate what you have gotten done, and excited to work on it some more.
