It is here– the end of 2019. It is hard to believe that another year has flown by! I am always a bit happy and a bit sad when I look back over my completed and not so completed projects, but I do enjoy the journey so a long journey is just fine with me:)
This year I will be joining Cheryl @Meadow Mist to celebrate my five favorite projects or posts of 2019.
My top five will be the “I Can’t Believe I Am Still Working On This” projects that I have written about this year. These projects may have finally been finished or not finished. If they still aren’t finished, maybe next year will be their lucky year! Who knows?
So… here we go–
#5 – Mystery Block of the Month 2016
This beauty was started in 2016 and then stashed in a forgotten box until I accidentally found it again and knew I just had to finish it. I am happy to say that this one is done!

#4- Delilah
Meet Delilah. I started piecing this fantastic quilt back in 2017 with a Jen Kingwell Template of the month program. I have finished all of the blocks, but it has yet to be complete.
It keeps getting put at the top of the finish list, and then something inevitably comes along and pushes it back into the box. I do love it though and I look forward to finishing it in 2020:).
#3 – Cross Over Poncho
I did start and finish this great poncho this year, but it still took quite a bit longer than it should have. I started in March on a trip to Thailand, but it was way too hot and sticky to crochet. So it got put in a box until I was getting ready for a cruise to Alaska and knew that it would be just the right cruise wear. A deadline is a great motivator!

#2 – Simple Folk Quilt
I joined Sarah Fielke for her 2018 Simple Folk quilt along. I have enjoyed making the beautiful appliqué blocks. I wish I had been able to keep up with the pack, but life happens. I did get quite a bit done thanks to a Hand Quilt Along group that I am a part of.
#1 – Mystery of the Salem Quilt Guild
This quilt was the happy happy dance finish of 2019. I believe I started coloring and embroidering on this quilt back in 2016. Each little witch was stitched and sewn with bright, colorful thread.
The stories this quilt can tell!! It was a wonderful October finish:)!
You can read about it here
And there we have it, 2019 in a nutshell. It has been a year of visiting the past and trying to finish those unfinished projects. I hope 2020 will add a few more long time finishes to my list and yours:)
Happy New Year!!
I vote for finishing Delilah, first, last and always! She’s gorgeous, and she’s waited too long for her moment of glory 🙂

Looks like a good list to me! Between quilting for clients and babysitting grands while parents work, my personal projects have been sadly neglected. I need to figure out how to schedule more time for my own stuff!
